Located in Bearcreek Montana is the Bear Creek Saloon and
home of the world famous Pig racetrack. Bearcreek is located
7 miles from Historic Red Lodge Montana, 55 miles from Cody,
Wyoming, 72 miles from Yellowstone
National Park, and 65 miles from Billings,
Montana's largest city and Logan International airport.
The area has become one of Montana's premiere Winter/Summer
resort areas. Offering downhill/cross country skiing, golf,
horse back riding, river rafting, hiking, backpacking, mountain
biking, fishing & hunting. The life style in this part of
Montana is uncompromised, beautiful scenery, fresh air,
good education system and wonderful friendly people.
At the present time the business is operated from mid May
through mid September and mid November through mid April.
During this time the business is open Friday through Monday.
The steak house is by far one of the best in the area. Featuring
great beef, Greek salad and baked potato. The full service
beverage license offers ice-cold beer, imported and domestic
wines as well as your favorite mixed drink.
The pig races offer a unique draw for people of the ages
of 5 to 95. There is great open-air seating and covered
seating as well. A western playground offers a great place
for the young ones. All of the profits that are made from
the Pig Races are put into a Scholarship fund and given
to local students.
